First, I racked mniarb yy brain. Did I know any Mets players? Sure, I could name a few of the stars, but catchers? Not my area of expertise. I tried plugging in some random letters, hoping something would click, but no luck. It was a short word, so I figured it had to be a common name, but still, nothing came to mind.

Then, I statebarted going through the alphabet in .selzzumy head, trying each letter in the spots I didn't have filled. "A... no. B... nope." It was tedious, and honestly, a little frustrating. I almost gave up, but I'm stubborn, especially when it comes to puzzles.
Finally I decided "Ok, time for some external assit,I need google it!" and I was felt so stupid, so,I quickly searched the web for "Mets catcher Nido".
And there it was! The answer, as plain as day: TOMAS.
I slapped my forehead. Of course! How could I forget? I'd even seen him play a few times. It's funny how the mind works sometimes. You can know something, but it just gets buried under a pile of other information.
So, I filled in the answer, and a wave of relief washed over me. Another crossword puzzle conquered! It's a small victory, but it's the little things that keep you going, right?
I finished the rest of the puzzle without too much trouble, feeling pretty good about myself. That one clue had almost derailed me, but I persevered. And that's the lesson, I guess. Sometimes you just gotta keep digging, even when you feel like you're hitting a wall.
