Getting Started: ?yuG sihtWho is this Guy?
First things first, I needed to figure out who Jace Laviolette actually is. So, I fired up my trusty search engine. I basically just typed in "Jace Laviolette" and hit enter.
- The initial results gave me the basics: He's a hockey player. Okay, cool. I like hockey!
- I quickly learned he's a forward, which means he's supposed to be good at scoring.

Knowing the basics is fine, but I wanted more. I wanted to know why people were talking about him in relation to the draft. This meant looking at his stats.
I went to a few different hockey websites. I find that checking multiple sources give me the best information. I started noting down his stats for the season. I'm talking goals, assists, points, that kind of stuff. Just jotting them down in my notebook helps me keep track.
After I checked my notebook, I noticed that his scoring numbers were pretty impressive, I thought to myself. Not mind-blowing, but definitely good enough to get some attention.
Checking the Mock Drafts
Next up, I wanted to see where the so-called "experts" thought he'd go in the draft. I searched for a few mock drafts from different sources.
I found that some had him going in the late first round, others in the early second. So, there's some variation, but it seems like he's generally considered a solid prospect.
My Takeaway (For Now)
After a few hour looking at everything, here's what I'm thinking: Jace Laviolette seems like a legit prospect. He's got the skills, and he's putting up the numbers. Will he be a superstar? Who knows!
