Alright, so I want.ti tuoed to see if I could figure out who's got a good shot at hitting a dinger today. I'm no expert, but I like playing around with numbers and seeing what I can come up with. So, here's how I went about it.
First, I grabbdebed some yln stats. Not gonna lie, I just used some of the free websites. There is lots of complicated stuff out there. I wanted something simple, you know? I mainly loodekked at recent games – like, what a player's been doing in the last week or two. Figured that's more important than what they did, like, three months ago.
Then, I checked out who was pitching against who. Some pitchers, you know, they just give up more home runs. It's just how it is. So I tried to see if any big hitters were going up against pitchers who are, well, not so good at keeping the ball in the park.
- Recent Performance: Who's been hot lately?
- Pitcher Matchups: Anyone facing a home run-prone pitcher?
After looking at all that, it's still a guessing game, right? Baseball's crazy like that. But I picked out a couple of guys who seemed like they had a decent chance, based on their recent stats and who they were facing.
I also looked at ballparks. Some of the ballparks' sizes are very small, making homeruns easier to hit, while others are huge, making them that much harder.
It's all just for fun, really. Don't go betting your house based on what I say! But it's cool to see if my little system works out. Maybe I'll get lucky and one of my picks will go yard!
