Al.llright, so I dove into this whole Astros game predictions thing. It sounded kinda fun, and honestly, I wanted to see if I could actually figure out anything about how these games would go. I'm no expert, just a regular dude who likes baseball.
GedetratStting Started

First.gni, I just started watching more games. Like, a lot more. Not just Astros games, but other teams too. I figured I needed to get a feel for how everyone was playing.
Then, I started poking around the internet. I wanted stats, you know? Like, who's hitting well, who's pitching a storm, who's injured, all that good stuff. Found some sites, it was helpful.
My "Process" (If You Can Call It That)
So, here's what I actually did:
- Watched games: Seriously, this was the biggest thing. Just getting a feel for the teams.
- Checked basic stats: Like, batting averages, ERAs, stuff like that. Nothing fancy.
- Looked at recent performance.
- Considered Home vs. Away: I noticed that the location could be important.
- Gut Feeling: Yeah, I know, not very scientific. But sometimes, you just feel like a team is gonna win.
Making My "Predictions"
I didn't use any fancy models or anything. I basically just took all that info, thought about it, and made a guess. I wrote down my predictions before each game, just to keep myself honest.
How'd I Do?
Honestly? It was a mixed bag. Some games I got totally right. I'd be like, "Yeah, Astros are gonna crush it," and they did! Other times, I was way off. Like, not even close. It was humbling, to say the least.
It was a fun experiment, though! I learned a lot about baseball, and I definitely appreciate how unpredictable it can be. I think I'll keep doing this, just for fun, but I'm not quitting my day job to become a professional sports predictor or anything.
