First, I needed a plain shirt. I just grabbed a basic white one from my closet – nothing fancy. You know, the kind you get in a 3-pack at the store. I wanted to make sure it's cotton so this made the whole process easier.
My Design Process
Next up, the design. I'm no artist, so I kept it super simple. I just googled "Jaren Duran" and saw a bunch of, like, text-based designs. I thought, "Cool, I can do that!" I opened up a basic image editor – you know, the kind that comes pre-installed, No fancy software here! – and just typed out "JAREN DURAN" in a bold font. I played around with the font a bit until I found one I liked. I Think I ended up using something called "Arial Black". Looked solid, you know?
Getting it on the Shirt
Now for the tricky part. I don't have any fancy equipment, so I went with the old-school iron-on transfer paper. I printed my design onto the transfer paper – remember to mirror the image! That's super important, or else your text will be backwards. Trust me, I almost messed that up.
Then, I carefully cut out the design, leaving a little bit of a border. I laid the shirt flat on my ironing board and positioned the design where I wanted it. I followed the instructions on the transfer paper – every brand is a little different, so make sure you read them! – and ironed it on. It took a few minutes, and I made sure to press down really hard, especially on the edges.
The Final Reveal
After letting it cool down completely (patience is key!), I peeled off the backing paper. And… boom! There it was. My very own "JAREN DURAN" shirt. It wasn't perfect – a little bit crooked, maybe – but hey, I made it myself! It's got that DIY charm, you know?
