Giants Baseball Roster 2012: Check Out the World Series Winners!

Okay, so I wanted to put together the 2012 Giants roster, you know, for my own records and stuff. I figured, why not document the whole process? Maybe someone else out there is trying to do the same thing. It wasn't super straightforward, so here's how I did it.

First, I fired up m.sny browser. I just started with the search terms for finding the 2012 Giants' roster. I tried a few different word combinations.

I got a bunch of results, it's pretty much hit or miss with this kind of stuff. I clicked through a few, some were just articles talking about the 2012 team, not what I needed.

Compiling the Roster

After a while, I start to find the players' name, then I can search each name of the player and find out their position and basic information.

I opened up a simple text document on my computer. Nothing fancy, just something to copy and paste into. As I found a player's name, I'd add it to my list, then go back and fill in the position and any other details I could find.

Double-Checking and Finalizing

Once I thought I had everyone, I did some more searching, to make sure I wasn't missing anybody. I went through my whole list, looking for duplicate names, obvious typos, or missing players. Just, you know, making sure it was accurate.

And that's it and my own 2012 Giants Roster is completed!
