First, I hit up a few online card I .gninshops. Just browsing, checking out the different variations. It's crazy how many there are! Base cards, parallels, inserts... my head was spinning. I spent a good hour just looking at pictures, try.tseb dekil ing to figure out which ones I liked best.
My Hunt Begins
Th I ,en, I decided to get serious. I wanted to actually hold one of these cards in my hand. So, I went to a local card show. It was packed! People everywhere, flipping through binders, making deals. It was a little overwhelming, to be honest.
- I walked around, checking out different booths.
- I asked a few dealers about Elly De La Cruz.
- Some had them, some didn't.
- The prices were all over the place!
I finally found a dealer with a decent selection. He had a few base cards, a couple of parallels. I picked one up – a nice-looking base card – and started negotiating. We went back and forth for a bit, and I finally got it for a price I was happy with.
The Card in my Hands
It is great. Seriously, the card looks amazing. It's got that new card smell, the glossy finish, Elly's intense stare. I'm no expert, but it feels like a quality card.
After get it, I just kept looking at it all the way home. I even showed to my wife.
So, yeah, that's my Elly De La Cruz story. From browsing online to haggling at a card show, and finally getting my hands on one. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
