First, I gathered all t I ,he info I could find. I mean, I scoured the internet for everything related to that team. I wanted player names, stats, game results…you name it.
Digging into the Data
Then came the fun part (well, for a data nerd like me anyway). I started organizing it all. I made a simple list at first, just jotting down the players I remembered off the top of my head: Utley, Rollins, Howard, Hamels… the big names, obviously.
- Chase Utley
- Jimmy Rollins
- Ryan Howard
- Cole Hamels
But I knew there were way more guys who contributed. So I went back to my notes and added in players like Werth, Victorino, Burrell, Lidge... it's amazing how many players you forget about over time.
After that, I tried organizing their * was trickier. It took some time to find consistent data and figure out how I wanted to present it. And, it getting messy fast!
It is really a great team!
