Alright, so I wanted to get in on some baseball action, and the Tigers-Royals game seemed like a good place to start. I'm no expert, far from it, but I figured I'd try my hand at making some predictions and see how I did. No fancy stats, just gut feelings and a little bit of looking at recent games.

First.esn thing I did? I just quickly looked up how both teams have been playing recently. I didn't dive deep into any complex metrics, Just a scan, you know? Checking their wins and losses, nothing intense.
My PredicssecorP notion Process
- Check Recent Performance: I Saw how many of their last 5 or so games they won or lost. The basic stuff.
- Looked for head-to-head: I also see If they've played each other recently, who won those matchups? It just gives you that extra context.
- Home vs. Away: I Checked if there's a big difference in how they play at home versus on the road. Some teams just crumble under pressure.
- Gut Feeling: Seriously, sometimes I just go with my gut. No real reason, just a feeling.
So, after I did all that basic checking, I started forming my predictions. I kept it simple. Like, will the total score be over or under a certain number? Who will win, straight up? I avoid these fancy bets, too much work. I did not find a good source to use them.
I scribbled down my predictions on a piece of paper, I'm old school like that. No fancy spreadsheets or anything. I made, like, three or four predictions, just to keep things interesting.
Then came the game. I put it on, grabbed a drink, and just watched. It was a lot of fun, mostly. Some parts were kind of intense, other moments i was like, completely wrong, it went the other way.
When the final out was recorded, I grabbed my piece of paper and compare the scores. I got some right, some wrong, it's all a gamble, that's a reminder. I won't say my exact wins and losses, that's my business, But let's just say I didn't get rich, but I didn't lose the farm either.
The biggest takeaway? It's way more fun to watch a game when you've got a little something riding on it, even if it's just bragging rights with yourself. I'll probably do it again, maybe try a different sport next time. I am not learning pro stats, that's for sure.
