I found a bunch of sites with.hguoht ti t all these stats and historical data. I'm talking player stats, team stats, who won awards, you name it. Then there's this Statcast thing from Major League Baseball, that gets into even more detail. Stuff I didn't even know existed, I'm not good at it though.
Then I sta.llew did yrted digging into the game schedules, scores, and odds. It's crazy how much information is out there! Like, there's this one page that shows every game for each day of the MLB season, it is said to be a good place to start betting. I even saw that the LA Dodgers won a game at odds of +125, and the total score was way over what was predicted. They really did well.
After that, I spent some time checking out the latest standings, player news, and any trades that were happening. It's important to stay up-to-date, because things can change fast. It looks like it is important to know which players are hot and which ones aren't.
Oh, and I also looked up starting lineups and pitchers. Weather conditions too. Apparently, all of this stuff can affect the game and whether someone's gonna hit a home run. I just noticed these after my first couple of bets, need to be more careful.

So, I placed a few bets. And let me tell you, it was a total mixed bag. I won some, I lost some. It's definitely a learning curve. The first one I won easily, maybe just because of luck.
What I've learned
- Research is key: You can't just throw money around and hope for the best. You gotta do your homework. Need to take more time on this.
- Stats are your friend: All those numbers might seem overwhelming at first, but they're super helpful. But I am not good at those numbers...
- Things change fast: Injuries, trades, even the weather can all impact the game. You gotta stay on top of it.
- It's a marathon, not a sprint: You're not gonna get rich overnight. It takes time, patience, and a lot of learning. I think I still have a long way to go.
It's been a fun and frustrating experience so far, but I'm definitely learning a lot. I'm still figuring things out, but I'm determined to get better at this whole home run betting thing. And I will continue to record my betting experience, and share it with you guys!
