Some folks were saying the Cubs are in a weird spot. They're not totally out of it, but they're not exactly leading the pack either.

- Even scrolled through some fan forums to get the pulse of what other Cubs fans are thinking.
After doing all that, it seems like it's a real possibility that the Cubs might just stand pat. They might not make any big moves at the deadline. And you know what? It kind of makes sense.
My Thoughts After Digging In
First off, the Cubs have some young players who are showing promise. Bringing in a big-name player could mean less playing time for these guys, and that might not be good for their development. Secondly, the Cubs might not want to give up too much for a player who might only be with them for a couple of months. It's a gamble, right?
