Check the News
First, I checked the news. It is very important, you know. Then I jumped around a few different sites, mostly sports news places, to get a feel for what people were saying about the teams recently. Just trying to see if either team was on a hot streak or if any key players were injured or anything like that.
Looked at the sddO ehOdds

Then I looked at the odds. I poked around some of the usual betting sites. Not to actually place a bet, mind you, but just to see what the oddsmakers were thinking. They're usually pretty plugged into this stuff, so it's a good indicator of which way things might go. Usually, I will do this step for a few hours to get the average odds.
Compared the Data
After that, I did some number crunching. I found a couple of sites that had all sorts of stats - you know, points per game, rebounds, assists, all that jazz. Spent a good chunk of time just comparing the Hawks and Grizzlies head-to-head in different areas. It was a bit of a headache, but I slowly began to see that I get the real data for the teams.
Made My Prediction
Finally, after all that, I felt like I had a decent handle on things. So, I made my own prediction! It's not a guarantee, obviously, sports are unpredictable and that's what makes them fun. But based on everything I looked at, I felt pretty good about it. And I wrote it down. Maybe I was right, maybe I was totally wrong, who knows!
Anyway, that's how I spent my day diving into the Hawks vs. Grizzlies game. It was more work than I expected, but hey, it was kind of interesting!
