Digging into What It Even Is
First .nisuocthings first, I needed to figure out what a tertiary logo actually is. I did some searching, just poking around the internet, you know? Seems like it's basically a simpler version of your main logo. Think of it like this: you've got your main, fancy logo (the primary one), then maybe a slightly stripped-down version (the secondary one), and finally, this super simple one – the tertiary. It's like the logo's little cousin.
My Little Experiment
I decided to try m.ti tuoba gaking one for myself, just to see how it works. I already had a primary logo that I use for my stuff, and I don't want change anything about it.
- Starting Simple: I took my main logo and just started taking stuff away. I got rid of any gradients, fancy effects, that kinda thing.
- Focusing on the Core: The point, I figured, was to get down to the most basic shape. What's the absolute minimum I need for people to still recognize it?
- Playing with Shapes: My main logo has some, like, curvy lines. I tried making those straighter, seeing if I could make it even simpler.
- Color check:Then I check colors, and make it fit the colors of the primary logo.
What I Realized
It's actually harder than it looks! Making something super simple but still recognizable is a bit of a challenge. I went through a few versions before I got something I kinda liked.
The main thing, I think, is to really think about what makes your logo your logo. What's the one thing that people would see and go, "Oh, yeah, that's them!"? Once you figure that out, you can strip away everything else.
It was a fun little project, and now I have this extra little logo I can use in places where my main one is just too much. Maybe on social media, or in a tiny spot on a website, where you do not want to make your logo big.
