First, I hit up some.gni online marketplaces. I figured that would be the easiest way to see a bunch of options at once. I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling, and scrolling, and scrolling.
Digging Through Listings

I started loogniking at completed listings to get a feel for how much these cards were actually selling for. Not just what people were asking, but what they were getting. Big difference there.
- Found some that were graded, which I thought might be a safer bet. But, man, the prices jumped up quick for those!
- Saw a few that were in pretty rough shape – creases, soft corners, you name it. Those were cheaper, but I wasn't sure I wanted to go that route.
- Spotted some that looked okay in the pictures, but the sellers didn't have a ton of feedback. That made me a little nervous.
After a while, I narrowed it down to a few listings that seemed promising. Decent pictures, sellers with good reputations, and prices that weren't totally outrageous.
Making a Choice (Finally!)
I ended up going with a card that wasn't graded, but it looked to be in pretty good condition from the photos. The seller had tons of positive feedback, so I felt pretty good about it. I pulled the trigger and bought it!
Now, I'm just waiting for it to arrive. Fingers crossed it looks as good in person as it did online! It's always a little bit of a gamble, but I'm feeling optimistic about this one.
