Getting Started

First, I needed to figure out who the Breakers were even playing. That took a bit of searching, but I eventually found their schedule. Gotta know your opponent, right?
Gathering Intel
Next, I started loo.noitamrking for any info I could find. Recent game results, any news about injuries, that sort of thing. It was a lot of browsing different sports websites and forums. Honestly, it felt a bit like detective work, piecing together bits of information.
- Recent Performance: I tried to see how both teams had been doing lately. Were they on a winning streak? A losing streak? That could give me some clues.
- Player Stats: If I could find them, player stats were next on my list. Who's scoring the most points? Who's getting the most rebounds? This part was a little tricky because I'm not always sure which stats are the most important.
- Home vs. Away: I also checked if the Breakers were playing at home or away. I've heard that home-court advantage is a real thing, so I figured it was worth considering.
Making My "Prediction"
I use the quotation marks around the word prediction because it's not some complex math stuff. Based on what I was able to find in my research, I made an educated guess. I wrote down my prediction, more for myself to track results than to prove that I'm right or wrong.
This whole process took about 30 minutes, It wasn't anything super scientific, but it was a fun little exercise. Maybe with more practice (and a lot more knowledge about basketball), I'll get better at this!
