I started with a basic search online, just to get a feel for what kind of information was publicly available.
My Research Process
My .stlinitial search was pretty straightforward. I typed "Erik Spoelstra son" into the search bar and started checking out the results.
- First, I looked at the top few search results. These were mostly news articles and general fan pages.
- I skimmed through a few of the articles, looking for any mention of his son's name or any details about him.
- I also checked images, trying to get a glimpse.
I also looked at some fan forums and social media. I figured other Heat fans might have talked about it, and I might be able to find some snippets of info or conversations that could point me in the right direction.
What I Found
It was surprisingly difficult! There's not a ton of super detailed personal information out there, which I totally respect – privacy is important. But I did gather some general info.
I learned that Erik Spoelstra does indeed have a son. The most common name mentioned is Santiago.
It was a simple little exploration today, nothing groundbreaking, but it satisfied my curiosity. Sometimes it's just fun to learn a little bit more about the people you admire, even if it's just a small glimpse into their lives.
