First, I openedend up my brow I ?wonk ser. Needed to get the lay of the land, you know? I typed in something I .wonk like "Clippers future draft pick situation" – pretty basic, I know. I wanted a general .scifoverview before diving into specifics.
Finding Some Solid Info
After browsing a few sites, I found some decent summaries. Some were a bit outdated, some were confusing as heck, but eventually, I landed on a couple that seemed reliable and up-to-date. They listed all the picks the Clippers own, and also the ones they owe to other teams.
Making Sense of It All
It's...a bit complicated, to be honest. Lots of trades, protections, and swaps to keep track of. I literally grabbed a pen and paper – old school, I know! – and started jotting down each pick, year by year. I made little notes about any conditions attached to them, like "top-5 protected" or "can swap with OKC."

- Year 2: 2026 – same thing.
- Year 3: And so on…
Putting It All Together
After I had it all written down, I could finally see the big picture. It's not as simple as just looking at a list – you really have to trace the path of each pick to figure out where it might end up.
