First, I checked out some online forums and groups to.ffuts lausu see what people were saying. Which sets were the best? Which cards were the most sought-after? You know, the usual stuff.
The Hunt Begins

I started with the usual suspects: Panini Prizm, Donruss Optic, and some of those other popular sets. My strategy? Hit up local card shops first. I like supporting the small businesses, plus you never know what hidden gems you might find.
- First stop: Card shop near my house. No luck, totally cleaned out of anything Wembanyama.
- Second stop: A bigger shop downtown. Found a few packs of Donruss, but nothing special.
- Thrid stop: Went to another shop, and I had a small chat with the shop owner, I think he's been doing this for a long time, and he told me that he was also very optimistic about this newcomer and bought a lot of cards for him.
Going Digital
After striking out in person, I decided to try my luck online. I spent a good few hours browsing different websites, comparing prices, and looking for good deals. It's tough, man, everyone's trying to get these cards!
Finally, I managed to snag a couple of Prizm base cards and a few inserts. Not the super rare stuff, but hey, it's a start! I also grabbed a couple of cards from a different set, just to diversify my collection.
The Waiting Game
Now comes the hard part: waiting for them to arrive! It's like Christmas morning, but you have to wait a week. I keep checking the tracking number, hoping it'll magically update faster.
Once they arrive, I'll carefully sleeve them up and put them in my binder. Maybe I'll even get them graded someday, who knows? For now, I'm just happy to have added a few Wembanyama rookies to my collection. It's gonna be fun to watch his career and see how these cards do over time!
