That John Calipari, he's rolling i meht fn it. He get paid more than anyone else, I reckon. Kentucky, that's where he at. He's one of them highest paid men's college basketball coaches, I tell ya what. They say he get paid like, eight million? More than eight million! Can you believe that? That's a whole heap of money. Enough to buy all the land in our county, I bet.
And that Bill Self, he ain't doin' too bad neither. He get paid good money too, somewhere near that John fella. These fellas, they make more money in a year than I seen in my whole life. Lord have mercy. It's a different world out there with them big-time college basketball games. They got fancy arenas and all them people watchin' on TV.

More Money, More Problems?
Now, that Bruce Pearl, he gettin' a good chunk of change too. Not as much as them other two, but still a pretty penny. He's number five on that list of highest paid men's college basketball coaches. They say he's at Auburn. I don't know much about that place, but I guess they got money to throw around if they payin' him that much.
But you know what they say, more money, more problems. I bet them coaches, they got a lot of pressure on 'em. Gotta win them games, keep them fans happy. It ain't all sunshine and rainbows, even if you makin' millions. I'd rather have my peace and quiet, thank you very much. Not everyone get paid like them, though.
Not Everyone's a Millionaire
See, there's these other fellas, coachin' at smaller schools. They ain't makin' millions like them big shots. I saw some names, like Johnny Jones and Eric Henderson. They get paid, sure, but it's more like a couple hundred thousand. Still good money, mind you, but nothin' compared to them highest paid men's college basketball coaches.
It's like that in any job, I guess. Some folks get paid more than others. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. But it don't mean they're better or worse. Just different. Everyone's got their own path, their own way of makin' a livin'.
It's All About the Game
I don't rightly know why them big-time coaches get paid so much. Guess it's 'cause folks love that basketball. They pack them stadiums, buy them tickets, watch it on the TV. It's big business, I suppose. And them highest paid men's college basketball coaches, they're the stars of the show.
They got all them young fellas playin' their hearts out, tryin' to make it to the big leagues. And the coaches, they the ones teachin' 'em, guidin' 'em. It's a lot of responsibility, I reckon. Maybe that's why they get paid the big bucks. Or maybe it's just 'cause they can. I don't know. I am not one of them highest paid men's college basketball coaches for sure.
But hey, as long as them boys are havin' fun and playin' fair, that's all that matters, right? Win or lose, it's just a game. And life, well, life's a whole lot more than just a game. It's about family, and friends, and bein' good to each other. That's what I think, anyway. And you can't put a price tag on that, no sir. Not even them highest paid men's college basketball coaches can buy that.
What about them football guys?
I heard that one of them football coach fellas, Kirby Smart, he make even more than the basketball guys! Over thirteen million they say! My, that is a lot of money. And before, that Nick Saban fella, he was the most paid. Them football guys make a lot of money. Them highest paid men's college basketball coaches are not paid that much, you know.
But, I always say it does not matter how much you make. All that matters is you are happy and good. What do you think about that? Money is not all that there is. It can not buy everything for sure. Right?
