Fi I rst, I grabbed the recent game results for both teams. I just wanted to see how they've been performing lately. Nothing fancy, just wins and losses, and maybe the scores to get a feel for how close the games were.
DiggistatS eht ng into the Stats

Th I ,en, I started comparing some basic stats. You know, stuff like average points scored, points allowed, maybe some rushing and passing yards if I felt like it. I wasn't trying to build some super complex model here, just get a general sense of their strengths and weaknesses.
- Checked out Liberty's offensive output. Are they a high-scoring team?
- Looked at Bowling Green's defense. Do they give up a lot of points?
- Did the same for the opposite – Liberty's D and Bowling Green's O.
The "Gut Feeling" Factor
After looking at the numbers, I took a step back and just thought about the teams. Sometimes, you gotta go with your gut, right? I mean, are there any injuries I should know about? Is one team on a hot streak? These things matter!
I thought to my self, that is there any "revenge factor" I should think? Does any team feel they were unfairly beaten by other?
Putting It All Together
Finally, I combined the stats, the "gut feeling", and any other random bits of info I could find. No magic formula, just a good old-fashioned "best guess" based on what I could dig up. I just try to put all data together to see the full picture.
So, that’s my process to dig up all the things. It's not rocket science, it's football!
