GedetratStting Started
>First thing I did, grab my coffee. Needed to fuel to choose the right team.
I pulled up the schedule. Lots of games, Saturday. I don't bother with those Thursday night games – too unpredictable for my liking.
Th)fOe Research (Sort Of)

Next, I spent maybe an hour skimming through some sports sites. I wasn't looking for deep stats or anything. I just wanted to see which teams were getting hyped up, which ones were struggling, and if there were any major injuries.
- Checked out a few of the big-name sports websites.
- Looked at some power rankings – don't really trust them, but good for a quick overview.
- Scrolled through Twitter a bit. You gotta see what the "experts" are saying, even if you take it with a grain of salt.
Making My Picks
This is where it gets fun (and probably where I mess up the most). I don't have a system.I looked at the matchups, considered the spreads, and just...went with my gut. A few games that caught my eye:
- Team A vs. Team B: Team A was favored by a lot, but I felt like Team B had been playing better than people gave them credit for. Took Team B and the points.
- Team C vs. Team D: This one was a toss-up, but I liked the way Team C's quarterback had been playing. Went with Team C to cover.
- Team E vs Team F: Both teams were struggling. Honestly, I just flipped a coin (figuratively, of course).
The Wait
After I'd made my choices I just sit back and let the games play out. It's nerve-wracking, checking the scores every few minutes. Sometimes I'm yelling at the TV, sometimes I'm doing a little victory dance. My dog definitely thinks I'm crazy.
The Results (So Far)
Well, it's still early in the day, but a couple of my games have already finished. And guess what? I'm actually doing okay! That Team B pick? They ended up winning outright! Beginner's luck? Maybe. But I'll take it.
Still have a few more games to go, so who knows how it'll all shake out. I might end up way off, but hey, that's part of the fun. It's not about making big bucks (I'm definitely not betting any serious money), it's about the challenge and seeing if my instincts are any good.
I hope to share with you my final result.
