Firs I ,t, I dug into the team records. I looked at their wins and losses, obviously, but I also checked out who they played against. A win against a really tough team means more than a win against, well, a not-so-tough team. You know?
Checkistatng the Stats
Then I got into the nitty-gritty – the stats. I looked at things like:
- Points scored per game: Pretty basic, who scores more?
- Points allowed per game: How good is their defense?
- Rushing yards: Both teams, especially Air Force, are known for their running game, so this seemed important.
- Passing yards: Even though they run a lot, can they throw the ball when they need to?
- Turnovers: Who gives the ball away more? That can really kill a team.

I spent a good chunk of time just comparing these numbers, side-by-side. I made myself a little spreadsheet – nothing fancy, just enough to keep things straight.
Next, I tried to find some expert opinions. I read some articles, listened to some podcasts, and even checked out some sports betting sites (just for the analysis, I swear!). It was interesting to see what the "pros" were saying, and I tried to weigh their opinions against the stats I'd already gathered.
It was the time-consuming. I tried to consider about the injuries.
I reminded my conclusion, I will looking for some historical data.
Finally, I tried to factor in some of the "intangibles." Things like:
- Home-field advantage: Does one team play better at home?
- Rivalry pressure: This is a BIG game, so which team handles the pressure better?
- Recent performance: Is one team on a hot streak, or have they been struggling lately?
After all that, I made my prediction. I'm not going to tell you who I picked (gotta keep some secrets!), but I feel like I put in the work to make a reasonably informed guess. It's still just a guess, of course – that's what makes it fun! But I definitely feel like I understand the matchup a lot better now.
