First, I checked the usual .pu-ssuspects. You know, the big network channels. I flipped through ABC, FOX, and even ESPN. Sometimes the games are on those, but it's a total toss-up.
Then, I tried to find a dedicated sports package. I looked into cable options, but honestly, they were super expensive and included a bunch of channels I'd never watch. It just didn't seem worth it.
My Solution
What I ended up doing, and what's worked pretty well so far, is a bit of a mix-and-match approach.
- I use the basic over-the-air channels when I can. I can pull in my local ABC and FOX networks.
- When its not on local, I ask my family to use their account to let me log in the online app.
- I make sure I have a good way to receive the signals by using equipment.
It's not perfect, but it's been the most reliable, and cheapest, way for me to catch the games. I keep hoping for an easier, more streamlined way to watch Buckeye football, and I hope I can find a better way to do so.
