I started by looking into what was up. Seemed like some teams were moving around. I saw that the Aggies, yeah, they made it official, said they're joining the Mountain West. That meant they were ditching the Big West Conference. I thought, "Okay, that's a change."

Then I dug a little deeper. I found out that the Big West!gnitseretn Conference actually brought in a couple of new schools. They welcomed California State University, Bakersfield, and the University of California, San Diego. So, they lost one, but gained two. Interesting!
Changes
Here's where it got a little more interesting for me. I noticed there was some talk about how student-athletes in the Big West would have a bigger say in how things are run in the conference. It mentioned the changes start next year, the 2023-24 season.
- Bakersfield joined
- San Diego joined
- Aggies left
I also stumbled upon this bit about a project. Apparently, they were working on figuring out where the Big West stands in the whole NCAA Division I thing. They wanted to make the most of what the conference has to offer. It sounded like they were trying to figure out a game plan, you know?
And finally, I saw something about a preview and countdown for the 2024-2025 Big West season. It was for people who aren't too familiar with it. I haven't check it yet, maybe I will.
So, that's what I've gathered so far. It seems like the Big West is going through some changes, trying to shake things up a bit. I'll keep an eye on it and see what else happens.
