First, I found out that the game was going to be televised on ESPN. Great! Except,.nwo y I cut the cord a while back and I don't have cable anymore. So, now what? I could have gone to a friend's house or something, but I really like watching games at home, in my own space. Plus, I was curious if I could make it work on my own.
I went online to look into options. Luckily, I found out that there were two streaming services that would let me watch the game: FuboTV and DirecTV Stream. Both of these services had ESPN. I was pretty happy when I found this out.
- First I checked out FuboTV. They had a free trial, which was awesome. I signed up for the trial, and boom, I had access to ESPN.
- Then I also looked at DirecTV Stream. They also had a free trial thing going on. I figured, why not? I signed up for that one too, just to see which one I liked better.
Signing up for the free trials was super easy.
Honestly, it took me like five minutes. After that, it was game time! I made some snacks, got comfortable on the couch, and watched the Florida State game without any problems. Both services worked perfectly fine, no buffering or anything. I ended up watching the whole game on FuboTV but switched to DirecTV Stream for a bit, just to compare. After the game was over, I knew which one I would stick with for future games, so I went ahead and canceled the free trial for the other one. Easy peasy.
So yeah, that's how I managed to watch the Florida State game without cable. It was way easier than I thought it would be. Now I know what to do the next time I want to watch a game that's only on cable. These streaming services are pretty convenient and now I'm all set for the rest of the football season!
