Digging Around for Info
Fi.trats ot ecrst thing I did was hit up the internet to see what I could find. I typed in "Newton North hockey" and started browsing. I found a team page with updates and stuff, which was pretty cool. Looks like they post updates pretty regularly, going back to older seasons. I saw some tags like "North Ice," "Newton North High School," and "Varsity Ice Hockey." So, I figured this was the right place to start.
Checking Out Live Stuff
Then I stumbled upon som.hcuot eething called "My Hockey Live." Apparently, they broadcast live games for high schools and other amateur leagues in Massachusetts. They have news, stats, and standings. I thought, "This is neat!" I could actually watch some games if I wanted to. It's all live, which is a nice touch.
Looking at the Team Details

I found another page dedicated to the Newton North Tigers, specifically their ice hockey team. They had everything - news, schedule, roster, even rankings. I skimmed through the schedule to see when they were playing next and who they were up against. The roster listed all the players, and I checked out a few names to see if there were any standouts. I'm no expert, but it's interesting to see how they rank compared to other teams in the area.
More on Games and Scores
Back on "My Hockey Live," I noticed they had a section for recent game results. I saw a recap for a game between Newton North and New Bedford. I didn't know anything about New Bedford, but I was curious to see how Newton North did. There were other sports listed too, like baseball and football, but I stuck with hockey for now.
Finding Schedules and Rosters
I found another site that had more details on the team's schedule and roster. I compared it to what I found earlier, and it seemed pretty consistent. I like having multiple sources to cross-reference, makes me feel like I'm getting the full picture.
Texting for Scores?
There was this weird thing I saw - you could text a number to get final scores. The number was 978-552-3955. I didn't try it, but it made me chuckle. Old school, right? I guess it's handy if you're not near a computer or something. I also noticed a section for MIAA Tournament game results, which I assume is a big deal. I made a mental note to look into that later.
Wrapping Up My Little Investigation
Finally, I found a general page about Newton North Tigers athletics. It covered all sports, not just hockey. But they had a section dedicated to the hockey team, with schedules, scores, and news. It was a good way to see how the hockey team fits into the larger sports program at the school.
So yeah, that's what I did today with Newton North hockey. It was fun just poking around and seeing what I could find. Maybe I'll try to catch a game sometime, either online or in person. We'll see!
