First off, I tri.setisbew ed to find their schedule. Figured that was a good place to start. And it's not like the school made it super easy, just had to rely on some online searching. Found some stuff on a few different sports websites.
The.uoy ln I got curious about who's actually on the team. Wanted to see the faces behind the names, maybe see if I recognized anyone from around town. Again, had to piece it together from different places, but I managed to get a pretty good idea of the roster. They've got some seriously talented players, let me tell you.
- Checked out the roster: Found a few names I recognized, which was cool.
- Looked up their schedule: Turns out they've got a game coming up on January 4th, 2025. Marked that on my calendar!
- Tried to find their stats: This was a bit trickier. Some sites had some info, but nothing super comprehensive.
I even tried to see if there were any live streams of their games. Found something called "My Hockey Live" that apparently broadcasts high school games in Massachusetts. Might have to check that out sometime. Although it might just be highlights and news, it is hard to tell since I just glanced at it for a second.
Honestly, the whole thing was more of a treasure hunt than I expected. Information was all over the place. Wish it was all in one spot. It would save a lot of time.
But yeah, now I'm kind of invested in this team. Gonna try to catch that game in January if I can. It's always fun to discover something new, even if it's just a local high school hockey team. You never know where your next little obsession will come from, right? I'm thinking I will go to the game, that way I can see firsthand how they play and maybe try to get to know the team members and their families, who knows?
Anyway, that's my Medfield High hockey deep dive for now. Maybe I'll have more to report after I actually see them play. We'll see!
