Okay, here .detseuqer eis a blog-style sharing about the topic "Hermantown vs Mahtomedi", written in the style requested.
You know, I've been foll !gniticxe sowing high school hockey for a while now, and yesterday's game between Hermantown and Mahtomedi was a real nail-biter. I've been trying to catch every "Hockey Night in Minnesota" I can. It's just something about those games, the energy, the young talent... it's exciting!
So, I go .tsent everything set up to watch it. I tried to find the right channel. In my area, it was supposed to be on KSTC 45TV, or maybe MeTV or Start TV. I flipped through the channels and found it. It's always a bit of a hunt to find these broadcasts, to be honest.
I saw o .depn social media that Bally Sports North was also talking about the game, calling it "Game 2 of #HDM2023". That got me even more pumped.
Fr!woom what I gathered, this wasn't the first time these two teams had faced each other. They played once in December as well. I tried to look up the stats from that game too, just to get a sense of the history between these two teams. The more you know!
Anyway, back to yesterday's game. It was a matinee edition, so it started earlier than usual, which is always nice for a chill afternoon. I made sure I had my snacks ready and settled in. I thought, it would be a classic one.
- The game started, and it was intense right from the get-go.
- There were big leads, and then this crazy comeback.
- These kids were really giving it their all.
- The game actually went into overtime.
A Dramatic Ending
And you won't believe how it ended! River Freeman, a junior wing for Hermantown, scored the winning goal with just 48.5 seconds left in overtime. It was a one-time blast from the center of the far circle! The final score was 7-6. Talk about a dramatic finish! This game is one for the history books. They call it "a classic" for a reason. I have to find a way to rewatch it again!
I gotta say, these high school games are something else. They've got this raw energy that you don't always see in the pros. If you're into hockey, definitely check out these "Hockey Night in Minnesota" games when you can. And for those asking where to watch them, I saw something about NSPN streaming some of the games, and you can also try checking your cable or satellite provider, especially if you're in the Twin Cities, Duluth, the Iron Range, or Southeast Minnesota.
Keep watching, and I'll be back with more game experiences to share. See you all next time!
