Distaving into Stats
First, I startestatsd digging into the stats. You know, wins, losses, goals for, goals against, that kind of stuff. I spesruohnt hours just looking at recent games for both teams, trying to find any patterns.

It wasn't easy. Some days the Capitals looked unstoppable, other days, not so much. The Kraken were even more of a rollercoaster! I felt like I was drowning in numbers.
Looking at Head-to-Head
Then I figured I should check out their head-to-head record. How have they done against each other in the past? This seemed like a good indicator, but honestly, it didn't give me a clear picture. Sometimes the Capitals dominated, sometimes the Kraken pulled off a surprise win.
Checking Player Performance
I decided to go deeper and look at individual player performance. Were there any key players injured? Who was on a hot streak? Who was in a slump? This took even more time, but I thought it might give me an edge.
- I focused on goalies - their save percentage can really make or break a game.
- I looked at top scorers and their recent performance.
- I even tried to factor in things like home-ice advantage.
Making a (Very Rough) Prediction
After all that, I still wasn't feeling super confident. Hockey is just so unpredictable! But, based on what I saw, I figured I'd make a guess. It was more of an educated guess than a sure thing, though.
So I am going to try a different tactic, I realized that maybe the bookie data is the best, next time I need to research how the bookie work.
